Dublin is a popular travel destination and offers a wide variety of accommodation types tailored to different needs and budgets.
The conventions block has now closed. This page will shortly have information about hotels in the convention area. However most attendees will probably prefer to stay in the Doubletree by Hilton on the Burlington Road, as this is the Convention location, and there are still some rooms available to book directly from the hotel site.
We are of course aware that some people may wish to stay in cheaper locations, and we looked into group bookings for Hostels with our partners. However we established that such a system would be more expensive and less flexiable for our members.
As such we advise those that are looking to stay in hostels to use www.hostelworld.com for booking.
Here are some hostels that are nearer to the convention site. However these places are still at least a fifteen minute walk away from the convention site, there is no direct bus route between these locations and the convention hotel.
The following hostels are further away, but are served by at least one bus route that stops near the Convention.
- Times Hostel, College Street (Dublin Bus Route 46A, €1.80*)
- Ashfield House (Dublin Bus Route 46A, €1.80*)
Dublin International Youth Hostel (Dublin Bus Route 46A, €2.35*)
- Bus prices are based on estimates and November 2013 prices.
All Dublin Bus Routes are Wheel-Chair accesable. The buses are designed to "kneel" and have ramps, they also have limited space reserved for wheelchair users.
We are providing this Hostel list for information purposes only, and you should make your arrangments independent of ShamroKon.
